So, to harness the sales potential of the outdoor cooking months, Donovan developed a big-ticket sweepstakes promotion that captured the excitement of the grilling experience. Partnering with KitchenAid, this sweepstakes offered consumers a chance to win a complete outdoor kitchen. Elements of this promotion included FSIs, in-store displays, point-of-sale materials and retail customer and broker incentives. There were more than 200,000 sweepstakes entries and Grill Mates realized sales increases of 20% - outpacing all other competitors in the category. |
